Those who hear and believe in Naam find the home of the self-deep within. In essence it would imply that those who believe in Naam and have engrossed themselves in the same remain at peace with self and such devotees while remaining attuned to the devotional worship of the source of all virtues the, Lord. Those attuned to the shabad of Guru become immaculate and act accordingly i.e. truthfully with contentment and peace. Those in whose mind the Lord dwells are enlightened being and lead their life in peace with balance restraint. O my mind, meditate on the name of Immaculate Lord. Those whose have such pre-ordained destiny written on their foreheads-those always remain at the blessed feet of the Guru and in ‘Liv’ with the Lord remain absorbed in the Lord's Love. ||1||Pause||
Assumptions: Har Har is presumed to be the name of Lord.
O Saints, see clearly that the Lord is near at hand; He is pervading everywhere. Those who follow the Guru's Teachings realize Him, and see Him Ever-present. He dwells forever in the minds of the virtuous. Those who have become virtuous Lord dwells in their mind and He seems to be far away from those worthless people who lack virtue. The self-willed manmukhs are totally without virtue and without the Naam, the name of Lord, and remaining in the trap of Maya [Duality] they meet their spiritual death and die in frustration and jealousy.
Those who hear and believe in the Word of the Guru's Shabad,[Bani] and have with faith in the Naam, they meditate on the Lord in their minds. They remain in the devotion of the Lord all the time and their minds and bodies become pure. The color of the [kusumbh] is not permanent world is not permanent and fades away in short time; likewise the color of Maya [duality] is also not permanent when it washes away it gives lot of pain to those who remain in Maya but those who have the Radiant Light of the Naam within, become steady and stable, forever and ever. Thus those who are imbued in the color of devotion of the Lord become stable minded and remain in balanced restraint of the mind. Their minds do not waiver and they remain without being affected by any Duality ||3|| ਇਹੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਪਾਇ ਕੈ ਹਿਰ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਚੇਤੈ ਿਲਵ ਲਾਇ ॥
Even after being blessed with the precious gift of human life foolish people do not lovingly focus their thoughts on the Name of the Lord but when the body grows old and they cannot stay here any longer they find no place of rest at all in the next world i.e. in the forward journey. This opportunity shall not come again and they depart, regretting and repenting that they have not focused on the Naam. Those whom the Lord blesses with His Glance of Grace remain absorbed in the devotion of the Lord and remain unaffected by the effects of Maya.He is saved by the Lord Himself.
27-28} Manmukhs who walk their own way do not understand this and indulge in show off and pretensions. But the service of those Gurmukhs, who always work as per the teachings of the Guru have cleansed their minds, gets accepted. They sing the Glorious Praise of the Lord; they read about the Lord each day. They always remain absorbed in the Praise of the Lord. They always remain with their consciousness imbued in the praise of Lord, the self-existent and ever stable Lord.
