| | | | | How does ਹਿਰਦਾ Translate into English? I've seen the word 'hirdah' translated as 'heart', 'mind', and even 'inside'. From the text in Gurbani I've looked at, it seems that this is a spiritual entity (somehow related to one's soul), as when Naam resides in Hirdah, one's soul becomes one with God. All of these terms (heart, mind, inside) seem to be physical things referring to the body...How would the word "ਹਿਰਦਾ" translate into English? Any thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.
