| | | | | Sikhism as Sewa for Humanity and a View on Khalistan Waheguruji Ka Khalsa, Waheguruji Ki Fateh Dear Sikhs under the true guidance, with the faith in Sat Guru. Beloved Khalsa under the shield of Waheguru, in HIS mercy, bliss and love. Sometimes I get upset to see how some of you just talk about Sikhism but actually not doing much to protect and cherish this wonderful gift that was given to us. I can only do this much, sometimes it feels as a waste of time, because many don’t care to make a difference and do things right for themselves and for humanity in general. So I just want to make two points here, doing it out of love to you and from the inspiration from Sat Guru, seeking the mercy and love of Waheguru. 1. Sikhism as Sewa for Humanity. Sikhism to me is more than a simple religion; I see it as the true way of living while making one way back home to where we really belong. I am convinced that when Waheguru created and perfected Sikhism through our Sat Guru, it was all done for the sake and well of Humanity in general, not just for Punjabis or those born into a Sikh family. I have been part of many religious groups, and now I understand why I did not stay into them and I was moved to keep searching, I searched until Sat Guru found me and I realized Sikhism. What about Sikhi? Well to me the greater things in life are simple, spirituality is simple, and the approach and principles are simple and universal. By doing things right with honesty, selflessly is the way into Sikhism. The idea of Sikhism is to unite humanity, to inspire and attract others on the true path in the true light. That is why none of the 10 human personifications of Sat Guru had to force others to become a Sikh, and it was ok for each to worship in the way they believe, knowing that when others see the way we live, the way we serve and care for each other will touch others and inspire them to come into Sikhism. Sikhism is more than perfect, it has everything all those other religions don’t have and much more, so much more for us to discover, realize and enjoy. What other spiritual congregation was bless as we are, Waheguru took the time to use 10 humans and filled them with light and divinity, each were constant with the teachings and principles, each displayed many values and virtues that we can apply into our lives. Now or Sat Guru sits back, just watching us, seeing how well we carry out this great Sewa given to us, we have the faith of humanity in our hands, If you really care about it realize that we have a great responsibility with the whole world, but many are selfish and think that Sikhism is only for Punjabis, no Sikhism is the only way in which humanity can live in peace in harmony.Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/sikh-sikhi-sikhism/25071-sikhism-as-sewa-humanity-view-khalistan.html After so much time and many teachings we should be able to do things right, Sat Guru wants to see how much we care, how much we have learned, how much we love Its presence and how much we really love Waheguru. 2. Khalistan, what I’m about to say about it, is just my opinion, there is no need for you to reply with negative or personal views, cause we all have them, but the truth is the truth no matter where its coming from. To me Khalistan is important because it represent the center of Sikhism; it will be like planting a tree. When Sikhism is established and planted in a center, it will be able to grow strong roots, that will spread, and only so we will see the real true fruits of Sikhism. Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=25071 All we need to do to keep it growing and spreading, is to water the tree with our devotion, with our sacrifices, and with our love for Waheguru. I do believe this will surely make a great difference in the way things are going for each other and for the whole world. When Sikhism is centered and established in Khalistan great things and wonderful achievements will come to be, Shikhism will have its place on earth and it will stay as long as Waheguru wants the world to stay. When something is not centered it’s all scattered and out of place even out of control, having Khalistan will inspire many and motivate many to see the true light, and the ones that are called Sikh will have real faith in Sat Guru again. The thing with Khalistan is to avoid politics and to make sure selfish envious ones don’t take part in it. We don’t need too much of this and that, we just got to believe and care, we just need to appreciate this precious gift of Sikhism, look into the story of our Guru´s, how each of them (which are the same Sat Guru), made Sikhism and how it grow, the basic principle was equality and the well being of all.

somewhere, "You scratch a Sikh and you'll find
a Khalistani". The goal of Sikh sovereignty and
homeland is laudable indeed. Even when Sikhs
are not vocal about it, these ideas have a lot of
appeal in the inner consciousness of every Sikh.
However, there is a bit of misconception about
how Khalistan is going to be formed. Some think
that resorting to slogans is the answer and some
think that a political/military campaign is necessary.
I have a different opinion. I think whenever a Sikh
works for the betterment of Sikhi and of fellow-Sikhs Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=25071
in whatever way they can, they are working for
the establishment of Khalistan.
I just read a news item posted by Aad ji about
Sikhs doing langar seva in Vancouver's poor
neighborhood. In my book, these Sikhs are
working for the establishment of Khalistan
even though they are not aware of it.
All those who are helping to run this forum
and spending countless hours to spread
and defend the message of the Guru are Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=25071
working for Khalistan without knowing about it.
I believe anytime ordinary Sikhs are involved
in acts of service and goodness anywhere
in the world, it has an extraordinary cumulative
effect. | | The following members appreciate mystique_void Ji for the above message.

I will never live to see Khalistan that is born as a nation-state, and will continue to nurture the image in my mind. Who knows -- I could be wrong.
But thinking about your post, and that of thebirthofthekhalsa ji, as well, it seems possible that Khalistan stands a chance of being a land where generosity of mind, heart and soul might be stamped on its coins; and the words "In the midst of this world, do seva, and you shall be given a place of honor in the Court of the Lord. Says Nanak, swing your arms in joy! might be written on its flag Well I hope so. How inspiring you are on this subject. | | | | | re: Sikhism as Sewa for Humanity and a View on Khalistan Khalistan, for me is the place where a Sikh can sow the seeds of goodness so all humanity can reap the fruits from his/her labour of work, dedication and nishkaam seva. Khalistan is not one particular geographical place, How could it be when Guru Nanak said in Japji,-Patalan pataal lakh, agansan agaas- ?
Khalistan is the place where the ones those who are pure at heart dwell, irrespective of their faith, hue or creed. And to be pure hearted is not a title nor any destination but the constant journey of the self towards making a difference in the world. So let us not make Khalistan a pipe dream by looking for a minute speck on this speck of land called the Earth but make it the horizon of goodness under whose canopy all humanity can thrive.

Tejwant Singh | Dear Tejwant Singh All that you said is the truth and i couldn’t agree more, that is all the great part of the spiritual aspect of Khalistan, but as we are in material world in a material body, also Khalistan as a reality will also have its material representation, Hey aad0002please dont say that, you are so going to live to see it, at times i believe that if we can see it in the mind, you will see it materialize, not sure to want extent that is true, but i do believe with all my might that it will be so there, i dont know how you envision it put I see 3 main structures and one on them has its shape of a Kanda I dont know if any of you heard the saying that India is the heart of the world, well if that is the case, then Khalistan will be where the soul within the heart dwells, those it make sense??? | | The following member appreciates therebirthofkhalsa Ji for the above message.
