Random process or stochastic process is used to get the clue about universal mind.

In evil practise it is used for gambling. As in case of Hindus,Muslims and Christians it is used in Sikhs also.

More view about this process from Sangat are needed.

Define universal mind (the definition varies and is rather vague from person to person)

Every healthy mind operates using a stochastic process…and is geared towards long-term emotional satisfaction.

Please note:
I don’t like the word UNIVERSAL MIND…because humans are less than half a chromosome away from being animals that fling their own feces at each other.

I think higher neo-cortical region of our forebrain can analyze probabilities and depending on our mood we take the path that is the most sensible, the most beneficial, or the one that will lead to maintaining emotional satisfaction.

This can be verified by the fact that our minds like to weigh pro’s and con’s before a vital decisions are made

(Note: what I stated would be appealing if you are an existentialist, of coarse...the question you should be asking is whether or not sikhs are existentialists ...if they are not...then the stochastic process is meaningless to them and they are determinists...if they are existentialists... then, they can find meaning in using stochastic processes in making decisions, hence constructing "universal minds" with what can be described as a stochastic process)

cheers

Jios,

Before defining universal mind, shouldn't we first define "mind." By "universal mind" do we really mean "universal consciousness?" Or, are mind and consciousness the same thing?

Does Guruji mean consciousness or something else in the word "munn?"

Which of the gunas are part of "munn?" Which are part of consciousness?

Do all of the 84 elements make up what we call "munn" or only some of them?
