Re: Can Sikh Girl Marry A Hindu Boy?

The idea of "CAN a Sikh do...." is faulty in my mind. You are free to do whatever you want. Unless you live in a fascist state, you as an adult can do whatever you want that is within the law. The question is how important is your faith to you, how important is it to your partner and what compromises are you willing to make/how open are you with one another. I am not one to judge who a person is with or what they do as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. As a Sardar with a Hindu girl, I would laugh at anyone who questions my Sikhi or says I shouldn't be with her. There are phenomenal people of every race, culture or religion..take the person for who he/she is, not for what labels society puts on them. Your relationship with Waheguru is personal and not to be judged by any person on this planet. If you live in good conscience, then you are blessed. Don't worry about what other people say.

no one ever insist her for any pooja, and infact the boy now go(his husband) to gurudwara.... both respect each others religion..... and are very happy. I cant write, you can watch this couple..... ever happiest couple. lot of similirities in hinduism i seen, even though girl should suggest prefer sikh boy. but in no case I will suggest muslim, as they are very cruel to women, force girls to wear burka, follows islam no matter whatever her religion is...... I have seen in neighbour itself christian women is beaten daily to wear burkha, and not allowed to go to church after she married to muslim boy.

Re: Can Sikh Girl Marry A Hindu Boy?

If you're both 'Seeking the Truth'...want to 'experience the truth' then it doesnt matter what name you give to your religion. The soul has no religion...what is has is a yearning to re-unite with 'totality' from which is came.
If you both are getting married and have a strong inner wanting to experience god in this lifetime then your marriage will be fine providing you don't get caught up in traditions and rituals.

If you are getting married for worldly wants and desires and just partake in the formalities of religion with no longing to meet god, then i suppose it's just the minds of the families that will be a problem and whether they will be able to interact with love

The 'isms' in Sikhism, hinduism are just created by the limited mind which needs structure, a box, a border etc. underneath all religions lies the truth, and the truth is the same for all and if you search deep enough you'll find it no matter the label you take.

dakku "singh", what are you trying to say? Everytime I see you posting, you try to confirm that no women (esspecially hindu) on the world would marry a sikh guy. What is wrong with you? What are you trying to prove? There are plenty of "hindu women " who marry sikhs, like there are plenty vice versa... Are you trying to say, that Sikhs can never have a girl? Stop making me laugh
