Last December, at the Gabba in Brisbane, less than three years after 32 wickets in three Tests had earned him the moniker of the Turbanator from the Australian media, Harbhajan Singh squared up against his favourite opponents in the first match of Steve Waugh’s farewell series. Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist, accomplished batsmen whom he had terrorised with the loop and turn of his off-spin in India, were lined up against him, but this time it was Harbhajan who had the nightmare, bowling 35 overs for 169 runs and a solitary wicket
