I was hoping that after worldwide protests the French government would withdraw its fiat against Muslim girls wearing head scarves, Sikh boys wearing turbans and Jews wearing skullcaps in schools.

Khushwant Singh is on point.

We need some sort of standard size of the kirpan and when it can be put away.

Now some of you may say, "The 5 K's can never be put away etc."

Well, there's always an unspoken one...the Kachera, is put away during sexual activities, and taking a shower...things where, its a simple necessity that you must put it away.

Now, people may obviously say, "well than you can put kesh away in certain situations, like in a western Army"...obviously this is incorrect, since its part of your body, it remains part of you everywhere.

I agree with Khushwant, we need more rules and guidelines for the kirpan, they need to be universal.
