| | | | | Re: Sikhs scale down temple dome plans This is disgusting. A golden dome on a Gurdwara built 30 years ago? How about using the money to donate to the floods in Punjab and Pakistan, or towards technology which will make Gurbani more easily accessible in the Gurdwara (for example translation screens-assuming they do not already have them). |

| | | | | Re: Sikhs scale down temple dome plans God is not found in architecture or wealth. To serve others is to serve GOD. God is found through correct implementation of gurbani in the heart. Meditation reflection and simran. Infact making gurdwara gold was introduced after the gurus! You can make guru granth sahib's house look the most beautiful but this will not fill people's hearts with the love of naam! The langar is there for a reason - to serve others, that is the true spirit of a gurdwara and sikhi. Not golden plated domes. EDIT: this reply was in response to a deleted post which claimed that giving to charity was worthless, but that having a golden dome is ok | | The following members appreciate CaramelChocolate Ji for the above message. | |
