Congress led alliance UPA gets 258 seats while BJP led Alliance only managed to get 160.
Communists too are badly defeated by congress led alliance as they only managed to secure 24 seats
and their third front Alliance only gets 68 seats.

Congress gets 8 seats out of 13

BJP only 1 and that too Navjot singh sidhu winning Amritsar seat

SAD (Akali dal) only gets 4 seats

Harsimrat kaur Badal defeated son of Amrinder singh In bhatinda

As compared to predictions Akails did fairly well

BJP and its Hindutva communalist agenda got hit hard and bad !!
RSS and allied groups have no place in Secular Indian Democracy.
Hopefully the INC will now look seriously into minortiy rights and grievnces...Sikhs contributed to the complete sweep in Delhi.

PUNJAB suffered a severe setback because just a day before voting..PM Manmohan Singh also advised Sikhs to "forget" 1984. A Similar call was made by the BJP gang Advani/Modi...at the Ludhiona rally where they clled for sharing Punjab waters as well...

YES Sikhs can forget and forgive....BUT before forgiveness and forgetting..comes REMORSE on the part of those who caused the genocide...25 years later no REMORSE !! except the lsight shut out of Tytler and Kumar !! In Delhi that did the trick...BUT in Punjab..it could have led to a SAD/BJP ROUT If the INC had been REMORSEFUL.

Actually The biggest loser in this elections are communists and parties in 3rd and 4th front.The communists are down from 61 seats to 24 seats.And other parties That too were hoping big win are also big losers.These parties were planning that they will do good bargain with Congress or BJP for their support and would emerge as King makers.But Indian voter is now getting smart.They directly voted for congress instead of these parties and now No party except pre poll Allies of congress are going to get key portfolio's or or money for their support.
