| | | | | Re: Pray for the Panth GURMAT is not about "Ginntees Minntees...figures and counts...."
Gurbani at many many places clearly declares that HE IS NOT ATTAINED BY SUCH ACTS.
A Million paaths is nothing compared to the same hours spent on Gurbani VICHAAR and then ADAPTING ones DAILY LIFE according to the GURBANI VICHARED. EK Gharree aadhi garhhee..aadhee se aadh...even a split half second of VICHAAR is more than enough....IF FOLLOWED and ADAPTED in our LIVES...
Such antics seem to be gaining ground...as it is "easier" !! The NAMDHAREES tried this tactic about 70 years ago by introducing PATRA PAATH !! Their SatGuru was struck by this so called wonderful idea to..COMPLETE as many as possible Akhand paaths of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in the SHORTEST TIME...so he TOOK the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji birs aparta nd DISTRIBUTED the Indidvidual Patras (pages) to Sangats and told each person to JUST KEEP ON REPEATEDLY READING HIS OWN PATRA...for 100, or 1000, or 10,000 times..and in this way a MILLION Paaths of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji could be done in a DAY !! This NEFARIOUS IDEA was struck down by Timely action by the AKAL TAKHAT which nipped it in the bud...
But the DEHDHAREES were not entirley discouraged..they began Paathhan deean Larriean...strings of SIMULTANEOUS Paaths from Birs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji parkashed in ROWS upon ROWS...all merely mechanical paaths with no listeners ..just Ginntee minntees....and NOW this...all in the same string.... Do Shabad Vichaar,,look inward..and improve ones self...that is GURMATT. | | The following member appreciates Gyani Jarnail Singh Ji for the above message. | |
