| | | |  Flood situation in northern Punjab, India grim (SABC News)
The flood situation continues to remain grim in north Indian Punjab as several villages got submerged rendering thousands homeless. The situation was further aggravated when 150-feet deep fissure developed in one of the embankments of the Dhussi dam on August 16 due to incessant rains.
