AMRITSAR: Acting on the recommendations given by the Punjab Agriculture University (PAU), Ludhiana, the district administration of Amritsar has decided not to allow farmers to sow paddy before May 10. Describing the reasons behind the prohibition orders, the Amritsar District Magistrate Mr Kahan Singh Pannu said that PAU, in its recommendations, had very clearly mentioned that sowing of paddy ...
