The Anglo-Sikh War Memorial Trust will commemorate the anniversary of the war on June 2 at Hasanpur village near Ludhiana. Addressing mediapersons on Monday, Surat Singh Khalsa, an office-bearer of the Trust, said the Anglo-Sikh War of 1846, and not the 1857 war, was the first freedom struggle of the country. He said they were trying to create awareness about the great victory of the Sikh forces ...
