Dear Freind Thanks for your post here on the forum . About the question you are asking i willl try to answer For somebody who is hindu mindset in term of spirtuality he/ she try to relate to god through human incarnations called Avataar so if somebody like that want to consider Guru Nanak Dev ji as avataar of some god called Vishnu then it is good for him if he is sincere as he will with god grace someday read the Bani written by Guru Nanak and can possibly understand and enjoy the bliss of God himself so for such a person it could be benifical and his saying so doesnot effect the truth about what Guru Nanak Dev Ji actually is. Thanks Jatinder Singh

Gur Fateh Jatinder Veer Ji

i accept your point. in fact anybody saying anything does not effect the truth about what Guru Nanak Dev ji actually is. What i am disturbed at is the chance these people, who are themselves Sikhs and defend the separate identity somewhere else, can get of distorting the logical and non-superstitious image of Sikhism.

I believe that if a single instance is forgiven and things are not cleared up, these guys can drag this issue further. Today they are just calling Baba Nanak as the incarnation of Lord Vishnu, tomorrow they can go to extended length in making the claims that Sikhism also preaches superstitions and their so-called path-pooja and other futile practices.

Veer Ji, tusi sunya hona ae k 'Jatt Sahey To Nahi, Pahey To Darda Hai !' I have no problems with they calling Baba Nanak, but i do have problems with they winning the argument and proving or asserting that it is true what they are trying to establish. Further, if their courage is boosted, they can mislead others in believing other **** they have picked from Brahminical Ritualism or Their Lack Of Knowledge About Sikhism.

What disturbs me is not the fact that they are foolishly trying to label Baba Nanak as only a part of Lord Vishnu. But what is disturbing me is the fact that if i do not make an effort to assert that they are totally false and baseless, they will further be encouraged and would try to fill up other people's mind with other concepts (or i should say so-called concepts) they are trying to project.

I myself am not complete Gursikh. I am not an amritdhari and my kesh are not unshorn. But i personally feel that Sikhism is the only religion on earth which is dealing with subjects like God or Divinity in pure and logical way and it is the only religion which can answer my questions back. So, i feel it as my duty to stop this BS and make the truth clear to others who are reading their comments and supporting them stupidly.

Please Forgive me if i have been wrong or insulting or offensive on any stage of this post.

Just A Speck Of Dirt

No such claims make me insecure or anything because i think I understand sikhi, it does not lower the status of Guru Nanak in any way, atleast they are not claiming that Guru Nanak was the follower of vishnu or something... the way some muslims claim Guru Nanak was a Mohammadian follower etc...
