		Opportunities and Challenges for Sikh Academics by Dr. Farina Mir Dr. Farina Mir is a historian of colonial and postcolonial South Asia. Her research has focused on the social, cultural, and religious history of late-colonial north India. Her book, The Social Space of Language: Vernacular Culture in British Colonial Punjab (University of California Press, in press) is a study of the Punjabi language and its literature under colonialism (from 1849–1947), with a particular focus on qisse, or epic stories/romances. 		A Journey from Wall Street to Quincy Street by Harpreet Singh Harpreet Singh co-founded the Sikh Coalition in the aftermath of September 11, 2001 attacks. He received the Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and earned the Master of Theological Studies degree from Harvard Divinity School. His current research allows for comparative study pursued through reading devotional and philosophical texts in a number of original languages: Punjabi, Braj, Sanskrit, Hindi-Urdu, Persian and Arabic. Both are wonderful essays and enjoyed them and also left a comment for both of them. This really shows the inner quest of some which unfortunately I lack.
