COPPER COINS

The above named album in the Sikh Coins Group contains scans of a good selection of Sikh Copper coins. Copper coins were the normal trading coins of the people of Punjab and open the door into the money used in general circulation. The Scans of copper coins of Amritsar, Multan and Peshawar can be found in the album, many in fantastic condition with variety of mint marks relating to holy symbols. All the scans have been donated to the Sikh Coins Group by the members anonymously. The TOP coin image has a Nishan Sahib on it and the image on the BOTTOM shows the word NANAK in full. It is important to note that copper paisa of Amritsar were the very few coins to have Gurmukhi text on them, where as the coins of the rest of the Punjab had Farsi/Persian text. Here is the link for this album:- http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SikhCo...66531/pic/list
