Master tara Sinhg Ji ahs often been the most maligned leader of the Sikhs..allegations of being a ex-Hindu..( prof sahib singh of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji darpan was also an ex-hindu!!) to being downright "stupid..simpleton..etc etc" being played out by the vily nehrus and the patels etc etc...

The Plain TRUTH is that he may have been too trusting..too simple..not crafty..but he was the most HONEST SIKH leader..the most UNBUYABLE Sikh leader..who remained loyal only to the Sikh panth till the day he died...
The Truth is he singlehandedly brought in HALF the Punjab to India..the pakistanis were so incensed at Master Ji for causing Pakistan the LOSS of Half Punjab and Half BENGAL that they bulldozed his ancestral house, ploughed it over, and there were posters all over pakistan villyfying him and the Sikhs as enemies of pakistan even more than the Hidnus of India...SIKHS paid the HIGHEST price for joining India than anyone else..IF NOT for the Sikhs under Master Ji, the Pakistan border would be at the JAMUNA RIVER.
Its a different matter that he was made solemn promises by the nehrus/patils whcih were never kept and never meant to be kept..he had no hindsight just as anyone of us.
