In the dark and stormy night of evil, light not your lamp where the wind blows wantonly
where the evil eye watches surreptitiously the light where Love dwells
and shames not from desecrating purity to devour its Holy Light.

Dus ve Sajna, Ki Bhul Huyi, Ke Jalta hua Diva pe daala andhera
Speak Lord what ailed your mind, when extinguishing, without mercy, the flame of my Lamp
Am I to dwell amongst lepers of insobriety in caves where shadows torment
Cast long by the burning of Loves pyre, to warm the gaze of a philandering whim

Yeh Zindagi ke bandan , Ya kismet ki lakheeran, Taqdeer apni mangti hisaab
The bonds and unions of Life, The hand of fate, Life demands a reckoning
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/poetry-corner/17040-poetry-corner.html
Sinless and free of blame, the refrain of gains earnt in arduous toil, of fidelity
Given to a One reviled for his evil wickedness, of sinners gluttoned by their debauchery

What name do I give thee, by what measure adjudge thee, the stench of treachery repels.
Lord and Master seem such grand terms, Spouse ones Self in Soul, How do I beseech thee
The adored abhorred for his meandering, the innocent spellbound or anger leading astray the good.

Kehdo ik baar, himmat barhow, pakaro haath agar himmat hain, Ja chaddo is tamashi natak se.
Speak once, Summon a little courage, take this hand stretched forth, or spare this spectacle, and farcical lie.
Love and fidelity require a courage and honour, bereft, one wanders as the wanton, wind without sail
Love is not for cowards, or souls sold to the market for lucrative gains, known by an altogether different name.

Kende Pyar Ki Jot, Svaar Detti Zindagi ki Duniye, Ab Suniya Jagga Jagga Piyar ki Galla Kutta Jaata Hai
It is spoken thus, by the wise and worldly, Love illumines all it touches, Life is Blessed, I have heard it rumoured
In this dark age, Loves neck is suffocated where so it seeks a sanctum, what travesty of justice is this

The bazaar di mehfil, deficient denizens elevated in rank, its enlightenment, pillage by their witchery ways
Kalyug da gerra, or was the mighty one always so easily led, whilst Love bled its tears upon its own burning heart.

Ve Doliyah, kache karre ne aaj tak kadi musafir paar lagaya, sej taraya, manzil panchaya,
Listen Beloved, have fast baked clay pots, taken man to his end, upheld in stormy weathers,
To a destined nirvana, many have drowned by their bright alluring devices, in repentance
Pyaar ke vishwaas ke pank lagake, with the wings of faith and fortitude, transcend early wiles
He commanded from on high, return of traveller of time immortal, return homewards
Yet could not see the chains of fear and deception entwine about my feet

Akheer mein, ab agayi hai akal, aur rakshas ko mittona bakki, ab rendi teri immnadaari da saboot bakki
In this final hour, my sense and wisdom govern and lead. The slaying of these aggrandised demons remains to be done.
A lingering proof of your integrity, honuourability and fidelity remains as yet undiscerned,
What of God, Lords and Angels, in times this soul athirsted for a show of your humanity, insaaniyat.

What care I if you bow your head, if you bow not in your heart{Nanak}

Bholl zarra soch kar, jaan ji, eh bolon ko chukate hail lok, mala de girte moti taran
Girhe hue hoton de moti, amrit ko bana jaate hain zeher, agar sun-ne vale na samaj-he

Gusse gile, shikettan aur tehere paani pe penka kankar, bikarte kahi raaz khol jaate hain

What care I if You bow your head, If you bow not in your heart{Nanak}

What worth of promises and covenant, neither kept safe nor fulfilled
What matter of the bowing of your head, if the mind and heart merge not in union

Matters of heart, the minds understanding, it is said, the unspoken is heard regardless
Think before speaking, dear, these words are received as pearls from a broken garland of truth
Pearls cascading from a chain, fall as poison to sensitive ones, when spoken inconsiderately

Anger, wrath, resentment are as still waters, running deep, cast asunder by the casting of a stone
Disclose a thousand truths unwittingly given away
Dwelling in house of clear glass, cast your stones mindfully, My Love, the thirsted fish pining, wounds easily
Further listen and heed, it is said revealed truths, made known in marketplaces become as dust in worth

Talk not so vengefully, great towers fall by the might of the pen, by the inclination of your nod
Said Ranja to his Heer, if fear of the paapa's provoked not, those saddened eyes would surely smile again.
One finds not pearls on garbage piles, painted manifold the dung pies, become not fragrant by the gilding.

The poem of Guru Nanak has been moved for a short time until leaders have had time to verify it.

Exclamation Re: Poetry Corner

Gurfateh Jeetijohal Ji,

I avoided this script for a long time but the reasonable period to tolerate you is long gone past.
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=17040

Please have some mercy on our poor beleaguered souls and stop tormenting us from your "not-so-out-of-the-world" use of obscure & redundant English diction... SPN is not Shakespearean forum, where you can continue using this style of diction and would get huge round of Acclamation, encomium, eulogy, kudos, panegyric or plaudit, your aboriginal, endemic, autochthonic writing style is nothing short of a major irritant, aggravation, annoyance, besetment, bother, irritation, nuisance, peeve, plague, torment, vexation to a common reader.

It is a common forum ethic to convey our messages in a plain simple English but in your infinite superiority complex of your extra-ordinary command on English diction, you forget that you have reduced yourself to nothing but a laughing stock amongst fellow members... Has anybody ever bothered to enter into a decent & discreet dialogue with you on any topic in this forum?

I observe that out of 386 off postings of yours on SPN, in 300 odd you have accused, derogate, denigrate, belittled, irritated, frustrated, mocked, tormented, decried, disparaged, disgruntled, accused SPN administration for reasons only know to you. And, if you are so much disgusted & frustrated by SPN administration then time has come to make a firm decision as to you would like to stop tormenting & excruciating us or we stop you from doing it remorsefully & contritely!

Further, in around 100 odd posts you have informed us boastfully yet pretentiously, bragged, vaunted, gasconaded, rodomontaded that this is going to be your last post on SPN and as we take a sigh of relief but Lo! there you come back again with more vengeful, spiteful, vindictive, malevolent absurd English diction of yours and start tormenting, agonizing, distressing, wretching, irritating & disgusting us allover again. Frankly, speaking i have never bothered reading your messages because i simply have no time checking up the thesaurus for the meanings of all those obnoxious, abhorrent, loathsome, abominable, contemptible, despicable, despisable, detestable, nefarious, odious, repugnant, vilest looking ambiguous, equivocal, recondite, abstruse, vague, cryptic, enigmatic words and try to comprehend, compass, conceive, fathom, what you are trying so hard to convey to our wandering, rambling, roaming, roving, meandering, straying, gallivant & gad minds...

My humble suggestion, proposal, proposition, submission, either have mercy, leniency, lenity, clemency, on our souls and find another avenue, boulevard, drive, expressway, thruway, turnpike, freeway, to vent your depressions & frustrations... we have had enough of you and would politely, mannerly, civilly, courteously, genteelly & humbly, respectfully request to leave SPN to Almighty's mercy, leniency, clemency, charity...

And, a final friendly warning, if we find any further postings of yours accusing SPN administration without any apparent reason and explanation, then i will personally make sure that posting will be yours last on SPN.
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=17040

And all that i have muttered, mumbled, murmured above could have been said in six words in simple, absolute, perfect, plain, pure, undiluted, unmixed plain English...

Spare Us, Good Bye & Take Care

And, final friendly warning, if we find any further postings of yours accusing SPN administration without any apparent reason and explanationthen i will personally make sure that posting will be yours last on SPN.
Your rant is self deprecatorily laughable. My excess use of words, or opinions may be strong minded, and admittedly tormented, but polite compared to the childish trolling of your nk, who seems to encourage hate mail from others who do not share your views.
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=17040

Deleting the Guru Nanak post was inappropriate and your lamentation a tad excessive. This forum was indeed quiet before my arrival, and yes, my predicament is of no concern to you at all. I find your moderator’s stance repugnant and derisory but this is not my forum or place to say.

It is unfortunate of all postings here on SPN you find my views as explained in your rant. I have no wish to ''torment'' and understand fully my personal presence on here exacts strong opinions from others who are always at liberty to respond accordingly. Yes I have endeavoured to leave on numerous occasions but unfortunately the hacks prefer to be seen to force my departure than my actual reluctance to court attentions by my views on internet forums, this one or any other.

I doubt whether you will allow this response to your torrent of derision, and whether you do or not is of no interest to me. By all means I have flouted all laws to encourage you to delete what you deem to be consistently offensive and abusive posts, something I will not even try to defend, be it laughable or your personal opinion.
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=17040

I ask you to delete the entire account... <baseless rant deleted...by Aman Singh>

Please, feel free to do so...

Re: Poetry Corner

I am not her to enter into dialogues with your or any other members but simply to preach which I have done. My time to depart is long overdue and my foes would want me to be expelled as I would them had I the power to do so, it is war, my war. As for preaching of freeways I do not deign to ask how narayanjot spends her free time, but we do not spend time strolling on freeways. I freely admit to my flaws but will not be accused of the sins of your moderating friend here. I have never discouraged anyone from questioning my views but do not as a rule socialise or enter into dialogues on an informal or non specific basis. Unfortunately you will find my verbiage is not netirely dissimilar to that of The Guru Nanaks, this fact is not heartening to me in any way. I fear he faced similar problems in his presdestined quest to enlighten.

I.
The post was not deleted but moved so that one or more other moderators could take a look and give an opinion. If they found it OK to post then anyone of them would have moved it back. All of this was explained and patience was all that was required.
