One Love, so pure, so sweet
Your distance draws me near
Your love, so tempting
Your presence surrounds me
I cannot breathe
Fear grips me
Is this true love?
My heart beats fast, I think of you
Beautiful, warm, innocent
Coincidence, fate and destiny
Soulmates or strangers in love? Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=17040
I sense a higher power Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=17040
Faith and hope wanders in my conscience
Honest love, raw emotions
Seem so clear, yet hard to believe
When will this journey end or
Is this the beginning of the most wonderful love story?
Time will tell |

Assi ik passa sun bende haan
te duje nu bhul jaane haan || Every talk (conversation we have) has two sides to it

Overlook the other side ... || Gal koi kissa kahaani nai

It is a piece of our lives. We end up listening to one perspective and
Overlook the other side .. || Gal gallan wichon bandi hai
te gallan wich aa mukdee hai
koi uche gal kar benda hai te
koi bolno reh jaanda hai || A little talk comes out of a Bigger pool of words
and ends up just being a part of that Bigger pool of words
Sometimes some people end up saying their words out aloud
and some people miss the chance to say anything || har Gal do passe de hondee hai
Assi ik passa sun bende haan
te duje nu bhul jaane haan
|| Every little talk (conversation we have) has two sides to it
We end up listening to one and Overlook the other side ..|| Sochan dee wee kee gal hai

| | | | | Re: Poetry Corner The dual perspective comes only, my dear, from the dual minded The tTuth, The whole Truth and nothing but the Truth Leaves no room for duplicitous duality or double edged swords What are words, Mere Pyaare, they fall from mouths of babbling brooks Mistook for offensives when only intended to release thoughts within Fear, hate, ignorance and suffering in our thoughts manifest as demons. Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=17040 Look both ways before we embark, to cross the way to the other side Dashing traffic flows in both directions, inflections in speech beseeching What do you hear, could you speak aloud what is contained within your heart. We feel, My dearest, and we sense emotions so tense, suspended in Amrit of a celestial brew What are diamonds but glistening stones, fossilised, clarified coals, of an ancient era Encompassed and enslaved to the wearers paradigm, as powerful as the hearts endeavour. Words, Meri Jaan, to the eloquent a shaan, gumnaam, and the tormented as accursed chattering Incessant and unceasing, without releasing the pain seeking escape from within You hear, and at times listen, smarting from the bitterness and I know I offend. I read the Guru Granth sahib to give life to my Soul, how could I improve what is writ The Guru, The Great Lord, suffered too what we abhor, and ignored, posthumously exhumed and lauded. His words are as breath to our living Spirit, could we bear the weak seeking to malign. Stretch forth my hands to clasp my own chest and find it beats to the tune of your Sangeet There is no absolution isn Truth, they guffawed, I disagree and prove I am right in this regard Yet wrong for those marketers of words weaved as magikery by thieves of a Truth plundered. Jaaneman, Jaane Jahaan, Jaane Jigar, Jaanki Ji, cast asunder your troubles or your ego shed Are two manners of speech of a single intent, graciously intended or salaciously rendered Apply a little sweetness for it wounds, My Dear, when your brandished sword, gains foes applaud. If life were peace, and the Soul at ease what use would we of muttering and speech, in silence would dwell In blissful contemplation of the Lords invocation, we listen and hear, in silence adore, encore, he said In peace love flows freely, and silence enchanted, what use for words when the Spirit doth speak. I do not write poetry here, having read much poetry, I do not think any could better the Poetry of our Guru’s. | | The following members appreciate Archived_Member5 Ji for the above message. | |

War and battle, nation versus land and brother against man, how they fight It haunts, the weeping of widows of the sleeping in deathless slumber, the walking dead Faces once radiant, beautiful and fair, now darkened with sorrow ,trapped in their caves of pain. Twenty five years later, of a battle long forgotten, It was I who was slumbering as my people were slaughtered In a nation loved as my own. Tortured souls, none listens they tell in broken voices tales of woe too pained to bearReference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=17040 Fathers, Sons, Brothers and Husbands beaten, battered and burnt alive before their eyes, Dear God what is this. Raising their little ones in ghettos and slums, where no one dare ask if they are well, fearing the tears that swell, tales to tell. From eyes long dead, unseeing and haunted, with visions of such horror, and a pain few have courage to hear Heart breaks and it aches, is it not forsaking, to cover our ears than confront abject fears, of ghosts wandering, ghostly. They dare not break, on camera, aggrieved, forsaken and tell of their misery, in poverty looted of all they held dearReference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=17040 The forgotten ones of the absent Sun, set in their world for gain glory’s for others, of a modern interest How do we live, or rest, when confessed the wailing of a legacy as enslaved as its Land, a heritage, God no! The forgotten ones, not worthy of attention, no consumerist circumvention or social value at all, appal Feel my pain, as it bleeds, He said, heart wounded and broken, as our own dejection is echoed far away in other places Life is dire, look to the less fortunate, than the better than I’s, Edlers say, but how Father, I have not the strength. Fear the might of a tyrant masqueraded as a government as others as crooked, relied upon sins for their own transgressions. They come in the night, loot, pillage and fright, and neither God, Lord or saviour in sight, they said How do we live, breathe, for tears once wept copiously for holocaust victims, at a time our lights were silently extinguished. Extremist they said, as they stole and they bled, each soul that dared question their savage brutality, inexcusable In lands of the free, and plenty what bloodlust for the lives, sweat and tears of the hungry and poor, of foreign alien ones. Feel Gods Pain, as the rich feast on souls kept impoverished, still lamenting, whilst anguished beings exists in haunted caves, forgiving... Little ones of innocence led by guidance of Guru’s Blessed blessed blessed be the place where you dwell Lines with trees of fragrant trees and flowers of many colours The streets whereupon you tread, abide and pass by. Pavitar Puran Patti Parmeshwar keep you in peace and sensibility As token of the laud and honour you bestow upon your Father In hour of need, in times if silent pleading, may the Spirit guide you Take your hand and lead the way, as Light, as Love as Liberty. May want near not your beings, nor sin ever cast its shadow near May your lamps be blessed with oil, your cup to the ambrosia of contentment Where so your gaze wander, you find The Parental Lords loving glance Smiling in kindness upon you, in wonder, in awe, at his reflections Good times come, and bad days set in promise of brighter morns Understanding affords balance, gentility gives grace, compassion kindness Little Lights of The Lords creating in times of darkness, be as candles As Steady Lamps to Light the path of others, Gods and Angels alike. By the grace of his creation the Lord rests peacefully, in their woe, suffers The pangs of their helplessness in ages when power wanes and faith fades Be as guiding lamps of benefaction to others as Gods guardians entrusted Rich in spirit, in proliferating peace, in peace and love abide, as Lords immortal Mothers, Sisters, Wives and Daughters are as upholders of their kith and kin In sobriety and sense, by grace recompensed, let virtue be its own reward The rich in faith become strong in spirit, created from the greater kiln Lighthouses for lost ships in stormy oceans, set sail and homeward bound. Father, Lord, Supreme Creator is as Great as his children’s fidelity and faith In dedicated devotion directed in peace and steadfastness, by the same measure Is gained from above and within what we pour forth from mind and deed In deed and mind be as Fortresses, Temples of his Pure Virtue and Wisdom. | | | | | Re: Poetry Corner This poem is one of the better known of Bhai Vir Singh ji.
It is presumed that he is describing a dream in which he saw Guru Gobind Singh ji.
You can appreciate the sublime and eloquentness of the poem: Supne vich tusi mile asanu
Asa ja galvkri pai
Nira nur tusi hath na ae
Sadi kambdi rahi kalai
Ja charana te shish nivaia
Sade mathe choh na pai
Tusi uche asi nive sa
Sadi pesh na gaya kai
Fir lar farne nu uth dure
Par lar oh bijli lehira
Ud da janda par oh apni
Chuh sanu giya lai
Mitti chamek pai eh moi
Te tusi luha vich lishke
Bijli kund gayi thrrandi
Hun chakachund he chai.. I bent my head that it might touch your feet; Your touch eluded me still. Abased as I was, how could my fumbling hands, attain to your exalted self, Helpless in the uttermost in reaching out to you? Then I rushed up to touch your waving scarf; This too, like a lightning - flash, evaded me, Swift in its swirling - One touch, one faint and momentry touch, Blessed my being And in this blessedness A spirit filled my lifeless clay, Brightness burst out at every pore:Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=17040 It was all in a flash, a trembling iinstant, My eyes were left dazed by the blinding brilliance. | | The following members appreciate harbansj24 Ji for the above message. | |
