Hair And General Sikh Philosophy Study

I did read through much repetition, and through escalating anger. I saw many quotations of what gurus have said being slung about like cannon ammunition. Thank you for wanting to hear my view. What I see is that your ego has become quite inflated, and is expressing itself in both anger and...

Hair And General Sikh Philosophy Study

The reason that was given to me that made sense is that hair grows to a certain length and stops, whereas nails just continue to grow. If hair is not cut, the body is not forced to use the nutrients to replace hair as fast, and can use those nutrients and that energy for other things.

Sikh News US Sikh Files Racial Discrimination Case Against Company (New Kerala)

It seems that he is claiming racial discrimination. Although his lawyer may have chosen that approach due to employment laws being more applicable to this case, he could lose on that claim as facial hair is not something that can not be shaved due to a condition of birth. It is something that...

    Young Sikh Men Get Haircuts

Forgive me, what is a sardar and what is a mona? In America, Yogi Bhajan's group encourages both males and females to wear a turban, and I only recently learned that was because Yogi Bhajan's early female followers wanted to wear a turban, but tie it differently than how men do. Are these usual...

    Atheism Atheists Attacking Beliefs

That's cute, but to state the obvious, that letter was a joke. Also, if you look at the link, it was supposedly written by John Smith. The joke is incomplete without the punchline. I apologize to all who find my statement insulting, but I have been told to always state what I find obvious...

Differences Between Men And Women !

Agreed. We are talking in generalities here. I agree that stereotyping is dangerous, but there is a margin of difference between making general statements and making sweeping condemnations. For a non-gender related example, it is fair to say that humans don't like pain - yet most people are...

Differences Between Men And Women !

From the way this is phrased, I bet this woman was not an American. It is my observation that women like to work about as much as men like to work, and for pretty much the same reasons. I will make a further guess that whatever area this woman was from, in that area, women are still struggling...

Differences Between Men And Women !

There are multiple explanations, depending on the exact circumstance. Men and women do think quite differently, but both have been conditioned (on some level) to believe that men are smarter than women. Because of this, sometimes women just don't believe that a guy actually does not understand...

    Free Will?

Yes, everything is caused, but much better things are usually caused by our false perception of free will. This false perception gives motivation and energy to us to achieve. It takes a very strong character to continue to achieve while fully recognizing that there is neither credit nor blame in...
