Pacific Miraculous Sign At Sikh Temple, Or . Is It Another Sign Of Sikh Gullibility With Miracles?

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa! Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh! I like this article. I also believe that all things are miracles, and as well my life as a Sikh is the best miracle of all! If I saw the Khanda, I would think of it as a sign from Siri Guru Gobind Singh ji. It would make me feel like Guru Ji was...

Sikh News Girls In Jeans No-go At Gurdwaras

WGJKK! WGJKF! I haven't posted in a while, but this one caught my attention. Personally, I wear Salwar-Kameez, but I do not think that jeans are bad, as long as they cover the subject and not showing underwear. It is important to be modest at a religious event, whether one is male or female!

An African American Woman - This Is How We Preach Sikhi

Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa! Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh! You must visit New Mexico! I am also aquainted with "Mr. Sikhnet". He has been very helpful to me on several topics that I asked his advice about. I wish you the best of luck. Yes, I do sometimes think it is "pot-luck" about who you meet from...

An African American Woman - This Is How We Preach Sikhi

Sat Nam! I did say in an earlier thread on another topic that I have had a wonderful experience in both the 3HO Gurdwara in New Mexico, and the Sikh Gurdwara in Oklahoma City, even though I am not a Sikh. Perhaps in areas where there is such a small community people are more accepting? We were...

Being A New Sikh And Trying To Fit In - Sikhism Isnt Just For Punjabies?

Sat Nam! I read the post about being a new Sikh and trying to fit in. I have been discovering Sikhism as well. I am a Hindu, and before that, Catholic. I did not feel peace in Christianity. I am of mixed background, not a "full" this or that. I have European heritage, and also Punjabi or...

Is It A Sin For A Sikh To Marry A Non-Sikh?

In my case. I am Hindu, and my husband is Catholic (really he now says he is more of a Buddhist now :) There was never a problem between us, no fights over which religion the kids would follow. The kids were exposed to both paths, but they both ultimately became Hindu. I agree with the...

    Life Experience

Dearest Anoop: It has been a few years since I have been a teen; but I do remember having many of the same feelings as you do. I am a school teacher, and my students are teens, and I hear in them many of the things that you voice in your letter. My dear, you are NOT alone. That is one thing...

Hard Talk How Many Sikhs Have Married Out Of Caste/race?

Re: How Many Siks Have Married out Of Jaat/Zaat (Caste/Race) I am a Hindu who has found her way back home to Mother India through my Romani (Gypsy) roots. (The Rom came from the Punjab and Rajasthan originally). As an American born person, caste has never made a difference. I would like to...

    Guru Granth Sahib

Wahe Guru! Could anyone recommend to me a good English translation of the Guru Granth Sahib that I could order? I am in the U.S. and while I can read Hindi, I cannot YET read Punjabi. I have seen some to order on line, but not being very familiar with it, I need some help as to which would be...
