hello borneo ji ,its very difficult to say what is right or wrong .when i was 12-13 years old my mum had amrit in india .my mum got ears & nose pierced same like most of our grans & nans that did not make them less of sikhs my late dad was born...
As i said tattoos are not acceptable in sikhism but our reason for refusing to accept my daughters tattoo was very personal as she dress up like goth & many of her friends got lots of tattoos , it felt like the beginning of more and more tattoos but tattoo has not change her .she is still...
I personally believe in sikhism tattoos are not right as shaving our hair & modifying our body is not acceptable .my daughter got khanda tattoo on her wrist just to say that she has done good or in a way to shut us up that she has got religious believes because we were not supporting her...

hi there , yes i meant cast or other culture .mix marriages can survive if both parties value each others upbringings and adjust accordingly . if a child come home and break the news of his or her decision about marrying in different cast the first reaction will be negative because of fear...
i personally believe one should marry in their own religion so two families will be better in dealing with each other .every family has their own traditions no body wants their traditions to die . we all have fears and worries .but life goes on ...........................
i agree that we should not have piercings or tattoos but all our grand mothers and aunts and our mums wear earrings and nose studs but if young girl wear nose ring or two earrings then it is bad . we should teach what we follow :yes:
