Lemme ask you guys a question.
When you draw the picture of any Guru. Is it as perfect as it was made by GOD. NO DEFFINETLY NOT. HOW CAN HUMAN MAKE AS PERFECT PICTURE AS GOD. in this was the case, than it would mean GOD CAN only create as good as a human. BUT NOT GOD IS THE ULTIMATE CREATOR. HE CReATES PERFECT AND HUMAN DOESN"T. By drawing a picture or making a statue of Guru Nanak Dev ji or any one else.. You are comparing your ART OR DRAWING BY THE Figure that GOD HIMSLEF CREATED. AND GOD IS THE BEST CREATOR. | Friend.
It is quite a leap to say that creating an image or statue is attempting to compete with God in creation. Humans cannot make anything remotely as perfect as God, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't create art as best we can. What about photographs, are they acceptable? | | The following member appreciates dalsingh Ji for the above message. | |

The verdicts about photography is different. In Sunni Islam, all images are disallowed. Some Sunni scholars say photography is okay though because it is like a reflection. Shia scholars say 2-dimensional images of animate beings are okay, but no 3-dimensional images (i.e. statues, etc...) should be made. |
