Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji KI fateh.

Always it is taken to mean that "SADH" is meant to be "Company of the Holy...etc etc.

The SADH is that small bit of "WAHEGURU" that sits INSIDE US...in our MANN.
Here the meaning of the Last Line is that PRABH KA SIMRAN....remebrance of Waheguru WITHOUT "touching Base"....without INVOLVING the SADH DEEP INSIDE US....will do as foretold by Guru Arjun JI.
IF for example our Prabh ka Simran...remains in the MOUTH/on the tongue...only and DOESNT REACH DEEP DOWN into our SOUL (SADH's ABODE)...then it is all NOT Worth that much.

IN Many many Gurbani TUKS..especially gurbani written by Guru Amardass Ji it si Stressed repeatedly that THIS HUMAN BODY ( HARMANDIR) is the ABODE of WAHEGURU/SATGURU/GURU/SANT/SADH...made and constructed By WAHEGURU as HIS PALACE. We the "mere TENANTS" of this Magnificent palace are to REGULARLY TOUCH BASE with the Actual OWNER and OCCUPIER of it the SADH/SANT inside us...in order to make a success of being born human...

Remember Animals also have SOULS.....but they dont have the means of touching base...i dont think a bunch of cows tied up outside a SADH DERA - for example ( and thus In the COMPANY of the HOLY ) would be any "better" than those tied up outside the Butcher's slaughter house..a cow will remain a cow..BUT a HARMANDIR..Human Body can touch Base with the SANT/SADH inside Through SIMRAN...and attain salvation.

A human is given the choice of "touching base" with His own SADH/SANT" anywhere...even working in a slaughter house...not necessarily ONLY "in the Company of the Holy". This si too much OVER HYPED so much so that we have THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of SANTS SADHS roaming all over claiming they are the "company of the Holy" mentioned in Gurbani...and Only their "company" can lead to salvation...a TOTAL MISREPRESENTATION.

When Guru nanak ji came to this Earth..there was NO SHORTAGE of this so called "company of the Holy"...vast groups of so called Holy men Jogis, sidhs, snats, sadhus etc etc etc were roaming all over..some in the JUNGLES eating only nuts and fruits carrots and radishes, others doing this and that...BUT GURU JI REJECTED ALL OF THEM OUTRIGHT as FRAUDS. Sikhs have somehow fallen back into the trap of "company of the holy" at the expense of PERSONAL TOUCHING of the PERSONAL SADH inside each of us.

Question 10: Whom do the Sikhs call a saint?

A person pure in word, thought and deed and dedicated to the divine mission of remembering God and making others remember Him and acting in His name, is a saint. He is not fettered by ceremonies, outward signs, taboos and rituals. He loves humanity as a whole and does not believe in differences caused by national or geographical boundaries. He is an ideal man whose heart always yearns for service to God through humanity.

"He repeats the Lord's name and meditates on Him

The Sikhs recognise saints as the preachers of the same philosophy as preached by the Gurus. Kabir, Ravidas, Dhanna, Sadhna, Pipa and Nam Dev were some of the saints for whom the Sikhs have a great regard. Some imposters are nowadays raising their heads and proclaiming themselves saints. Like counter-feit coins they have got some currency among the less informed gullible Sikhs. Unlike the above saints none of these has ever written any hymns. They only interpret the Holy word.
