This idea has probably passed through the minds of many other people but these questions don't appear to be anywhere on this site so here it goes. What is the ultimate purpose of the universe? and/or (in case there is more than one universe) what is the ultimate purpose of all things? Also what happens when the purpose is fulfilled or will it ever be fulfilled?
