MUMBAI: The star attraction at the Deonar abattoir this year is Raju, a three-year-old goat from Rajasthan. “One crore fifty lakhs,’’ his owner Babloo declares the price.
There is nothing striking about him. But Babloo has a reason for the premium. He traces tufts of brown hair on one side of the goat’s beige belly. “This is ‘Allah’ in Urdu. On the other side you will find ‘Mohammad,’’ he claims.

The highest offer Babloo has received is Rs 60 lakh. But his prized possession deserves more, he insists.
