Hi
Can anyone tell me how to get Access to use Lotus Notes as the default
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/information-technology/6150-how-can-i-get-access-select.html
email? Unfortunately my company has switched from Outlook to Lotus notes. Now
when we click on database email links Access automatically starts Outlook
Express ( which is still installed on machines, but we only have Lotus Notes.

Would it make any difference if we just removed Outlook and Outlook Express?
Would Access then have no choice but to use Lotus Notes?
Many thanks.

The SendObject function will use whatever program is configured as the default
MAPI client for the system. If you look in the options and help for Notes I
should think that there is a setting somewhere that will cause it to register

itself as the default MAPI program. I'm a bit surprised that the act of
installing it did not do this (or at least ask you).
