seemed to be fine. However, it seems there is an issue with our IBM ThinkPad
users opening databases, but not with the same roll out and our Desktop
Users. When the Thinkpad T40/43 try to open a database they receive an
error msg that Access encountered an error and needs to close down, and or it

gives the option to try to repair the database. However, when a user IBM

know issues and fixes for this..? Any ideas would be appreciated..

I am using an IBM ThinkPad and have had no issues.

Are you uptodate with all service packs for both the operating system and
Office?

Re: IBM ThinkPads not able to open oracle databases after up grade

Joan

Are you using Oracble ODBC drivers to access Oracle db's ? that's where the
issue seesm to be.
I will say that the Desktop units are at XP SP1 and the Laptops are at XP
SP2, so it could have something to do with SP2..

Any other suggestions..
