I have had nothing but trouble setting this up. I have configured a Canon
driver to default to b/w, but on a few computers the print settings for
particular Access reports only defaults to "auto detect" - which prints in
color.

I've tried everything I could find on the internet to fix - finally Canon
developed a special monochrome only driver just for our company. I installed
it and guess what? These Access reports STILL print in color, even when

color is completely disabled in the driver.

Help! I don't know what to do, but this seems like an Access problem for
sure.

I am not so sure that it is Access problem. Access itself does not print, it
relies on the printer driver installed on the computer. On Access' report
design/page setup, you can select a certain printer (if there are more than
one printer available on that computer, to set printer to "Default Printer"
or "Use Specific Printer". In the latter case, Access will always select
default printer if matched sheet size is available to that printer.

You did not provide information on how that computer prints in other program
(such as Word). If you installed two driver for the printer, how many
printer item do you see in Control Panel->Printer and Faxes applet?, if
there are more than one printers, which one is set as default? On the
report's page set up, what happens if you specifically set the report to use
a B&W printer, rather than to use the default printer, does it still print
color?
