"Type mismatch in expression" error

When I try to open one of my tables in Table View", I get the above message.
How do I locate where the problem is. I've even tried to reconstruct the
table,but the problem persists.

Rich,
I take it this is NOT a query against a table... just a straight double click on a
table to open it.

Something in the table design is approaching a text field as a number or vice versa, or
it could be corrupt.

First, compact and repair the database.

Next, in table design mode, remove any formatting, validation rules, inputmasks, etc...
anything other than just the field type and length.
If you still have the problem, then make a copy of the table under another name, and
delete one field from that table, and test to see if the problem goes away. Repeat,

deleting a field each time. That should pin it down.
