Normally when I use Access, if i go into query design and change criteria
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/information-technology/12896-kbv-test-query-without-saving.html
from say >100 to >200 and run it, it will run but not save my change. then
when i click "X" to close, it will ask me "do you want to save changes", if i
say "no", it will not save the new criteria and it will go back to original
>100...

For some reason, in this new db i am working on, if i make a change in query

design and run it, its automatically saving - not giving me the option to
test - can you tell me how i can make this allow me to test run without
saving??

thank you!

Re: KBV - test query without saving

How about opening it and saving it right away under another name testqry or

something. Then if you want to keep it, save it again, but as the original
name.

That won't work because when I enter the "test criteria", it is saving on the

spot (and it overrides the existing query) i am guessing it has to do with a
setting.

pls advise...
