How do I fix variable data to not force the static data down or up, in a
report? I've tried using OLE bound object, and inserted the subreport name
(that contains the variable data) into the Control Source Property, but

nothing displays. I'm trying to set address fields into a spot that fits
into a window envelope, but the variable data shifts the address down.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Fixed size in report

Porobaly could use a bit more info on that sub field... but...
If you don't care that some of the subreport data is not visible, control the size of
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=12196
that field. If a text field can be say 10 - 255 characters in the subreport, and anything
over 125 characters causes your main form address to shift down... then use a calculated
field like...
= Left([YourTextFieldThatSometimesGrows], 125)
in the subreport. Then, it will never force the subreport contol to grow.

I had already tried setting the cangrow property to "no" and it doesn't work
in this case. I'll try the other suggestion from Al and see how it goes.
Thanks for your help.
