Is there any easy way to open an access form directly, and only.

Generally speaking, we've got a service request database, and we want
the end users to be able to enter a new request. I thought o using a
web form for this, but the built in components don't support everything
we want, and I haven't got the skill to build something from scratch.
I'm hoping to put a link to the request form in their start menu so
that they have easy access to making a new request. I'm hoping though
to avoid them opening up the whole database in order to do it.

Is there any simple answer to this?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Mick

RE: Open data entry form directly

Hi Mick

Go to Tools - Startup then select the form you want to be available on
entry to the d base.

To remove this option you can always press the shift key on opening the d
base then remove the option

Hope this helps

Sorry Mick, just read your thread again.

You want a simple "answer" (I spend most days trying to simplify the stuff
that other people do on our d bases).

So here is a "simple" answer.

Why not copy your data input form. Remove all links to other sections of
Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=12004
the d base (buttons, etc) and also remove the the ms toolbar from "this"
form. Make this form the one that is opened when your users make thier
request.

This may need a bit of gigging about about to get what you want but it is
"simple". Of course you "can" code your standard form to do all this on
responce to input (button press from user) BUT what's the point.
