It's a beta. Beta = bugs, sometimes bugs causing fatal crashes, so make
sure that you install beta software only on a computer you don't depend upon
for your daily work, because you may end up reinstalling the entire system
from a backup. The commercial release version of Office 2007 is due out
early next year, so most of these bugs will be resolved. In the meantime,
you can give Microsoft feedback with this tool:

Send a smiley for things you like about the new applications, and send a
frown for your bugs or other things you don't like.
