I Would like to confirm if "DoCmd.FindRecord" only works when one is

working with open forms. I am doing a short batch program to find
duplicate entries. No forms are utilized. I noticed that "DoCmd.Beep"
works but the "DoCmd.FindRecord" does not, I get the error message that

his option is not available. I am assuming that "FindRecord" will

The FindRecord action will search the active form, or the active table or
query open in datasheet view. It won't work if no form is active and no
table or query is open in datasheet view. To access (no pun, etc) data

without opening a form or a table or query in datasheet view, you can use
commands such as DCount or DLookup, or you can open a DAO or ADO recordset.
