Good Evening All;

Our company is moving to Windows XP from 2000. Also, we are moving from
Access 2000 to Access 2003. I am finding that when I try to import text
files into my databases, I am receiving an error which says something like

'object not found in control', or 'control not found in object', and I am
unable to load the file. I tried converting my existing databases to 2003 as
well as create new ones in 2003, and I end up with the same result. Does

anyone have any insight to what causes this, and more importantly, have a
solution? I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thanks.

Re: importing data into Access 2003

I have used both macros, as well as doing a simple paste append. I receive
the errors when I paste append. When I run the macros, nothing happens.

Thanks

Re: importing data into Access 2003

DG,

do you copy all text file from Notepad and paste it to an Access
table?. There no problems doing that others than controling the format.
As far as I know the behavior of Access 2000 and 2003 is the same.

You say running macros "nothing happens". Do this mean that works well
or that it doesnot work at all?. If it does not work, what does the
macro?

Regards,

It turns out the we were missing the accwiz.dll file. I copied it back out
to the system folder and that took care of it. Thanks for following up.
