CHANDIGARH: 103 Infantry Battalion (TA) Sikh Light Infantry will carry out recruitment rally of Soldiers General Duty and Tradesmen at their Unit location at GT Road, Millerganj, Ludhiana from 29 to 31 July 2010 for those personnel who are domicile of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Union Territory of Chandigarh and NCT of Delhi.

An official spokesman said Thursday that recruitment will be carried out for Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Union Territory Chandigarh and NCT of Delhi on29 July ;for Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir on 30 July. Documentation and Medical Examination for screened Candidate will be carried out on 31 July .The conditions for enrolment in the Territorial Army are Age 18 to 42 years, Weight minimum50 Kgs; Chest minimum 77- 82 Cms Height Minimum 160 Cms.
Educational qualification 10th pass with 45% of marks except Distt of Lahul, Spiti and Kinnaur of (HP) for which 8th standard is minimum for General Duty. For tradesman candidates with 10th pass can apply.
Individual should be gainfully employed.( A certificate to the effect that the individual is gainfully employed written by the employer giving out details is mandatory). Preference will be given to the candidates ITI qualified, Drivers with experience. (Driving license Light and heavy vehicles must be produced), Sportsmen ,Computer qualified personnel and Cooks with prior experience.
The individual to be in possession of educational certificates from any recognized University/School with attested photocopy of gazette notification. Job employment certificate from employer. Appointment letter in original, details of salary and experience. Native/Residence certificate signed by District Magistrate/Sub Divisional Magistrate/Tehsildar. Character certificate signed by Gram Pradhan/Village Sarpanch is mandatory. The certificate should not be more than six months old on the date of Recruitment Rally. Six passport size coloured photographs from same negative should be in possession by the candidate. Sportsmen to carry requisite certificates and Cooks to have required Diploma/Certificate of cooking course.
