Let us take it one by one
1. Taliban has recently killed two sikhs and the university is being opened in Pakistan where there is no guarantee of life of non-Muslims. Even Hindus are on run to India.
2. The University is in Pakistan and not in India. There is nothing so great that a Muslim country is doing this. This will help them divert the attention of the Civil society and help Pakis to white- wash the deeds committed and likely to be committed by Taliban/Pakis in the near future.
3. Above all it is a shame that a Sikh PM of India will visit that country where the value of sikh's life is Nil. It may also be noted that the sikh PM has no contribution towards sikhs. Not a single letter was sent by PM office when the Turabn issue rocked the sikh community. The letter by M.M singh [PMO] was sent after a long lapse when the French had already taken some conciliatory measures.
4.The highest office of sikhs has not been consulted nor invited shows the lack of seriousness in Pakistan regarding the University. Will they have academics from Iran /Saudi Arabia/Oman/Kuwait or other OPEC countries to design the courses so far as the research on sikh studies are concerned.?
It is high time that SGPC should come out of its deep slumber and PM of India , as a sikh, should learn to voice some opinion. He may have compulsions in India so far as politics is concerned but ,surely, as a sikh he must have some concerns the way Indian research bodies are neglected.PM owes this much to Indian sikhs.
Pak PM will put the foundation stone and Indian PM would go there for clapping.Height of mockery of Indian PM's office. He will have lunch and have a toast and come back and PMO shall come out with press releases and the Indian media will have all praises for his humility. There is a distinction between humility and inability to make your self heard. |

1. Taliban has recently killed two sikhs and the university is being opened in Pakistan where there is no guarantee of life of non-Muslims. Even Hindus are on run to India. A group of criminals kidnapped and killed the 2 Sikhs. Moreover even if they were Taliban they had nothing to do with any religion. The kidnapped Sikhs say they never saw any of them performing namaz during the 70 day captivity. We hav video proof of all this.
2. The University is in Pakistan and not in India. There is nothing so great that a Muslim country is doing this. This will help them divert the attention of the Civil society and help Pakis to white- wash the deeds committed and likely to be committed by Taliban/Pakis in the near future. Taliban is comitting misdeeds on everyone in the NWFP not only Sikhs. The former president of Pakistan Gurdwara comittee Bashan Singh said recently in an interview. We have video proof of this also. For Sikhs in India it may not be a great thing but for the Sikh diaspora it is something
Sikhs from all over the world will be there,it doesn't matter whether the Indian PM ,who himself has not been able to bring any one of the 1984 anti Sikh genocide to book nor has he been able to do anything regarding the Turban issue, attends this occassion or not.
If by the highest office it is meant SGPC which is currently under RSS/BJP then thank god it has not been consulted.
It is good SGPC is not been consulted on this matter as it does not come under India's jurisdiction. In what the Sikh diaspora should be consulted and the new university should be made according to Baba Guru Nanak's ancient teachings and not according to the hinduised Sikhism version as is prevalent in India.Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=29455

Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=29455 The GOI has been trying to bully it's neighbours as well as it's own minorities but it will not be able to dictate them outside it's boundaries. The new University will be looked after by Sikhs abroad with help from Pakistan govt. | | The following member appreciates kee_jaana_mein_kaun Ji for the above message. | |
