There is NO similar mantra in Vedas to assert that Ishwar takes birth. Since Vedas alone is supreme evidence, Geeta has to be interpreted only in lines of Vedas.
2. Sri Krishna was a noble yogi. It is natural tendency of noble people to desire for protection of Dharma and destruction of Adharma. Selflessness is an innate trait of great people. Thus Sri Krishna wanted to take birth again and again to serve the cause of Dharma. We bow to such great thoughts of Sri Krishna and that is why He is our role model | I will go with this view. | | | | | Re: Hinduism Rant The period of migration into India from Central Asia could have happened anytime between the time of the Rig Veda culture i.e. between 1700–1100 BCE.
So making the assumption that the river Saraswati is stated correctly as per satellite confirmation, it still doesn't prove that the origin of the tribes called Aryans are Indian origin. They traveled. The fact that Iran has so many similarities with Indian culture and language, has to be reviewed with an open mind. It is likely that Hindu scholars have laid claims about per-historic artifacts found by archeologists as Indian origins whereas the real origin were Tibet or a neighboring country. Probably it is human nature to deny another culture to be older than your own. Even the Christians do it. They tell their archeologists to deny the existence of a finding just because they cannot explain it through their highly believed Evolution Theory. | | The following member appreciates Astroboy Ji for the above message. | |

If you are interested in discussing various aspects in Hinduism vs a vs Sikhism like interpretation of caste system, reincarnation, transmigration or mythology etc., then it would be interesting to start a new thread.
