Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/hard-talk/30735-tension-prevails-punjab-town-ravidass-community.html An alleged attempt by police to prevent the installation of granth in the temple led to tension here on Sunday. While the police authorities were saying that they reached the gurdwara premises fearing any untoward incident, the community members blamed them for stopping them from placing the granth in the gurdwara. The followers claimed that they had placed the “Amrit Bani Granth” in a seperate room, without disturbing Guru Granth Sahib installed in another room. They said no sentiments of any religion had been hurt, yet the police were objecting to the installation of granth on the grounds that the roof was shared with the Sikh holy text. The community members said the police was aware of the placing of the granth and policemen had been deployed since 11 am. Later in the evening ADCP Satinder Singh, ADCP Sarbjit Singh and ACP R.P.S. Sandhu reached the gurdwara premises and held a meeting with the community members to discuss the issue. President of the Sri Guru Ravidass Naujawan Santokh Sabha, Abadpura Anil Kumar said,“We had taken prior permission from the former Deputy Commissioner of Jalandhar Ajeet Singh Pannu regarding placing the granth at the gurdwara. However, now we are being refused on the pretext of using the same gurdwara premises for placing the new granth.” Earlier, members of Sri Guru Ravidass Dharam Yudh Morcha held a religious ceremony on the first death anniversary of the deputy chief of the Dera Sachkhand, Ballan, Sant Ramanand, at the Boota Mandi locality. Meanwhile, Shri Guru Ravidass Dharam Yudh Morcha leaders announced the body would raise a youth volunteer force with one lakh members to act as guards for the publicity of the granth. Commissioner Gaurav Yadav said the police were deployed to maintain law and order, and resolve the issues. “Nobody will be allowed to disturb the peace in tha area,” he addedReference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=30735 source: http://www.punjabnewsline.com/content/tension-prevails-punjab-town-ravidass-community-instate-their-new-granth-gurudwara/20782

| | | | | Re: Tension prevails in Punjab town as Ravidass community instate their new granth SAT SRI AKAL,
Well there is no place of caste in Sikh religion, if one wishes to install their Granth is up
to them to decide this is happening because their is not much parchar of Sikhi these days that's why it's getting divided into various sects.
Truth cannot be hidden for long and here's the real Truth- Caste system of Varna in
Hinduism. If the king finds buried treasure, he should keep half himself and give the other half to the Brahmin. (Manu Simariti Chap. 6, S: 38) Whether a Brahmin is ignorant or a scholar he still is a great god anointed by Mantras, as fire is god, even without mantras. (Manu Simariti Chap. 9, S: 347) If a Brahmin commits theft the king should not punish him because it is due to lack of wisdom on the part of the king that a hungry Brahmin steals. (Manu Simariti Chap. 77, S: 22) Brahmin is not guilty even when he commits an act against Vedas just like Agni (fire) is pure even after consuming all materials and the woman having relation with her lover (other than husband) is not corrupted.3 (Prasar Sanhita Ch. 2 and Atri Sanhita) A Brahmin engaged in farming can have as much land as he wants and may not pay any tax because he is the master of all. (Brihat Prasar Sanhita Ch. 3) Now in comparison to Brahmin consider the poor situation of shudra (low caste person). One should not live in the domain of a shudra.4 (Manu Simariti Chap. 4, S: 60) Do not counsel a shudra. Never give shudra leftovers from Homa, and do not instruct shudra in dharma. (Manu Simariti Chap. 4, S: 80) Born of the feet of Brahma, if a shudra speaks harshly to Brahmin, Kshatriya or Vaish, the king should get his tongue cut. (Manu Simariti Chap. 8, S: 270) If a shudra warns others with any part of his body that part should be cut off. (Manu Simariti Chap. 8, S: 279) If a shudra meditates and performs Homa, the king should get him killed. ( Atri Sanhita) Food of shudra is comparable to blood. If someone have intercourse while the food from the shudra is still in stomach, the offspring produced will be considered shudra.5 (Laghu Atri Sanhita Ch. 5) If a shudra drinks Panch Gavya, he goes to hell.6 (Vishnu Simariti Ch. 58) A shudra definitely goes to hell if he drinks milk of a cow or studies Vedas. (Prasar Sanhita Ch. 2) Do not counsel a shudra; do not instruct him dharma and fasting. Anyone who tells a shudra these things he along with the shudra falls in a deep dark pit. (Vashisht Sanhita Ch. 18) This is the equality of and message of Brahmanism which is divided in various caste system and which is still prevalent in various society consider this with the teachings of Sikh religion which brings whole humanity under one banner and breaks from the dogma of caste system of Hinduism. The Kshatriyas have abandoned their religion, and have adopted Malech language. All have become one Varna; the state of righteousness and Dharma has been lost. ||3||Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=30735 I offer this one prayer to You; please listen to it, O Creator Lord. (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 721) Pride in social status is empty; pride in personal glory is useless. The One Lord gives shade to all beings. (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 83) Recognize the Lord's Light within all, and do not consider social class or status; there are no classes or castes in the world hereafter. ||1|| (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 349) God does not ask about social class or birth; you must find your true home. That is your social class and that is your status - the karma of what you have done. (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 1330) Hereafter caste and power are of no account. They, who are accepted by the Lord, are the only men of honor. (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 67) Hereafter, no one is questioned about caste. Practice of the Word is the essence. (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 1064) The Guru, the True Guru, is my social status and honor; I have sold my head to the Guru. (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 731) Abandon your caste Varna and join the Khalsa. Love Gurbani and dye your mind in the red color. (Gurpartap Sooraj, Rut 5, Ch. 24) Guru’s Sikh should not be under the influence of Janeau and Tilak. (Rehatnama Bhai Chaupa Singh Ji) The Pandits read the Vedas, but they do not obtain the Lord's essence.Intoxicated with Maya, they argue and debate. (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 128) The self-willed manmukhs read and recite; they are called Pandits-spiritual scholars. But they are in love with duality, and they suffer in terrible pain. (Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Ang 128) This is more than enough evidence to prove that Sikhi is a distinct religion in the world not what other worldy religions might claim and more their is no Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=30735 place for caste in Sikh religion if one reads Sikh scripture one can realize that one comes to know about the truth which shows that Religion of Guru Nanak Sahib is the emitome of God creation in itself which gives rights, morality and virtues to an individual. Nobody is aware of this fact that Sikh religion also talks about science, evolution of universe, social status, rights of women, views of dowry, talks about Adam and eve, day of judgement all religions talks about Heaven, Sikhi is the only religion which talks about SACHKHAND ( COURT OF GOD) and their is so much treasure in Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj which is filled with diamonds and pearls and their is no need to hide this fact. Let the Truth speak for itself. Regards Gurveen Singh | | The following members appreciate Archived_member13 Ji for the above message. | |

| | | | | Re: Tension prevails in Punjab town as Ravidass community instate their new granth SAT SRI AKAL,
It's the message of "GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI MAHARAJ" and making people aware of Sikh
religion and it's teachings and their is nothing wrong in it.
Sikh religion on Humanity From the One Light, the entire universe welled up. So who is good, and who is bad? ||1|| (Ang 1349) He is the life of the soul in each and every soul; He permeates and pervades each and every heart. (Ang 1273) This whole world which you see is the image of the Lord; only the image of the Lord is seen. By Guru's Grace, I understand, and I see only the One Lord; there is no one except the Lord. (Ang 922) Sikh scripture on Creation of Universe “From the True Lord came the air (gases), and from the air came water. From water, He created the three worlds (referring to the sky, earth and sea); in each and every heart He has infused His Light. The Immaculate Lord does not become polluted. Attuned to the Shabad, honor is obtained. ||3||” (Ang 19) “In the Primal Void, the Infinite Lord assumed His Power. He Himself is unattached, infinite and incomparable. He Himself exercised His Creative Power, and He gazes upon His creation; from the Primal Void, He formed the Void. ||1|| From this Primal Void, He fashioned air and water. He created the universe, and the king in the fortress of the body. Your Light pervades fire, water and souls; Your Power rests in the Primal Void. ||2||” (Ang 1037) “Vaheguru, the One Divine Mother, emanated three functions. One, the Creator of the World; One, the Sustainer; and One, the Destroyer. He makes creation perform these functions to the Pleasure of His Will. Such is His Celestial Order.” (Ang 7) "Night and day, and the stars in the sky shall vanish. The sun and the moon shall vanish. The mountains, the earth, the water and the air shall pass away. Only the Word of the Holy Saint shall endure. ||1||" Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=30735 (Ang 1204) "Neither the sun, nor the moon, nor the planets, nor the seven continents, nor the oceans, nor food, nor the wind-nothing is permanent. You alone, Lord, You alone. ||4||" (Ang 144) “Many times has the creation been created (the universe been created) and expanded.” (Ang 276) So their is no drama going out here, yes, if some things are questioned to make Sikhs aware they should not adhere to it, at the same time recognize as Human race which includes Chrsitains, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Chinese or Sikhs they also in the banner of Humanity so what's wrong with that? Everyone loves to live with compassion and equality as part of Human society but their are things one should also be aware of original sources if this means to ignite something and well yes it is to ignite passion among Sikhs about their own religion and see where Sikh religion stands with other religions. As conversion rates of Sikhs and Hindus have increased significantly it last couple of years this is the stage drama one should ignite in order to cope with debates or views people of other faiths. Sikh religion respects everyone and treats everyone equally weather it be a sect or some other religion and respects the views of others. One needs to ignite passion among Sikhs about their own religion? BACHITTAR NATAK is chapter in Dasam Granth Sahib, one should read its contents and at the same time also read Bible, Torah, Quran, Puran, Bhagavat Gita then one will know the kind of stage Drama is played in this world?Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=30735 Regards Gurveen Singh |
