Two Sikhs, abducted by Taliban, have been rescued by security forces in the restive Khyber tribal region in northwest Pakistan, a week after two members of the community were beheaded by the militants, a military spokesman said on Monday.

The operation was conducted in a remote area along the boundary between Khyber and Aurakzai tribal regions on the basis of a tip-off from intelligence sources, the spokesman from the Inter-Services Public Relations said.
The two abducted Sikhs - Surjeet Singh and Gurvinder Singh - are safe, the spokesman said.
"Many" militants were also killed during the operation and further details about the action would be provided soon, the spokesman said.
Surjeet Singh and Gurvinder Singh were kidnapped along with another Sikh named Jaspal Singh over a month ago in the Khyber Agency. The beheaded body of Jaspal Singh was found on February 21.
Sources said the body of another Sikh, Mahal Singh, was found on the same day in Aurakzai Agency.
However, Pakistani officials have maintained that only Jaspal Singh's body had been found by authorities.
A sizeable number of Sikhs lived in the tribal belt, particularly Aurakzai Agency, till the Taliban imposed 'jaziya' or religious tax on them last year. Most members of the community then fled to cities across Pakistan.
President Asif Ali Zardari had condemned the killing and directed authorities to take "stern action" against the abductors and to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
Zardari has also directed authorities to rescue Robin Singh, a Hindu man who was recently abducted for ransom from Peshawar.
Local political leaders have said that Robin Singh's abductors have demanded Rs 10 million for his release.
India had condemned the brutal killing of two Sikhs by Taliban in North-West province of Pakistan and said such "barbaric acts" will take "us back to the medieval times.

We appreciate your jazba and knowledge on Sikh politics but you are not our only hope... there are many people who working towards this direction, who do not feel the need to hid behind a veil all the time and spit venom against fellow human beings...

Please make no mistake, from this post onwards, if you continue to undermine the credibility of any respected member of SPN Sikh Sangat, we will make sure that would be your last post at the network.

We had done a check list of so-called MONA SIKHS ( whom we call APOSTATES & you call better Sikhs ) regarding their ideology . What according to you was the pass percentage ? How many answers were positive in those 15 ? I'll say NONE . Which means that even if we leave cutting of HAIR the so-called MONA SIKHS are a big ZERO . So if they do not follow even a single edict of Guru Ji , why do they keep on tagging themselves as Sikhs ? Why cannot they leave alone Sikhi & stop trying to change its definition ? How can you say you are a Sikh , kee jaana ji & not another hate mongering APOSTATE .

I never called all mona Sikhs as better Sikhs.I only mentioned the name of Bhai Guggu and Bhai Harchand Singh "who happened to be mona" as better Sikhs "because" they took revenge from nang Poohla who butchered unknown number of Sikh women and children.

I'll give you an example which was there in a Punjabi newspaper regarding these mona Sikhs.Just 3 days back a group of mona Sikhs from Amritsar with safron headgear was interviewed at Anandpur Sahib and were asked do you people think that being mona and wearing safron headgear is Sikhi ?
Their answer was that although they live in Amritsar nobody has taught them anything about Sikhi.Not only that they bought safron headgear and flags just on the way from Amritsar to Anandpur Sahib.This is what the govt ,intelligence agences and the hindutva forces want and they are making full use of various media for that.

Just tune into any so called Punjabi channel in India and see what you see whole day ?

It is a common sense no religion can survive until it has sovereignity which I have written so many times.Same thing is happening with Sikhism.

There are many Navdeep Singh Sharmas,Sunil Singh Joshis,Navjot Guptas,Daljit Kumars etc in Punjab these days.

First of all it is not Khalistan of my dreams but a dream( soon to become reality) of many Sikhs and Punjabis.

Secondly,hate mongering and theocracy has no place in Khalistan as it is an exemplary state which will be based on Guru Granth Sahib and principle of "Sarbat daa bhalaa" and "Raaj Karega Khalsa" as enshrined in Guru Granth Sahib ji and not according to constitution of India which is beneficial to an immoral corrupt elite only and exploitative in nature.

Indian media and GOI which is trying to potray Khalistan as a theocratic state and Khalistanis as terrorist is badly failing in it's attempt as day by day the reality of Khalistan and the genocide India has committed on the Sikhs in the name of Khalistan is coming more and more out.
