Homage To Guru Nanak Dev Ji

We will all be celebrating the Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dav Ji this weekend. I humbly recommend that in order to pay proper homage to Guru Ji, we should all practice HIS BASIC teachings in our daily lives:

Naam Japnaa—To get up every morning before the sunrise, to clean the body, meditate on God’s Name by reciting the Guru’s hymns to clean the mind. Throughout the day, continuously remember God’s Name with every breath.

Dharam di kirat karani—To work and earn by the sweat of the brow, to live as family the way of life, and practice Truthfulness and Honesty in all dealings.

Vand Kae Chhaknaa—To share the fruit’s of one’s labor with the needy. Thus live as an inspiration and a support to the entire global community.

I think it would be great if the sangat that only comes to the Gurdwara sahib on this Gurparab came to the Gurdwara sahib on a regularly basis - it would mean that many more sangat would come to the Gurdwara and encourage others to come too!!
