Telegraph Nepal : India in a fix, Blockade or Wall fencing with Nepal?
To safeguard their country from the illusionary Chinese threat coming through Nepal in the form of Maoism, the Indian leaders can at best follow the Rajiv Gandhi doctrine and impose an indefinite blockade on Nepal or they can follow the idea aired freshly by none less than Sri Rakesh Sood, who suggests the Indian leadership to construct walls along its border with Nepal to do away with the entrance of the weapons made-in-China in the Indian territories.

However, on both the cases, if at all that takes a formal shape, India will be the looser. This has been proven in 1989 economic blockade that India mercilessly imposed on Nepal and this country survived for all along sixteen months or so.
For China, it will provide good opportunity to extend full fledged support to Nepal and prove to the Nepali nationals that it was their real friend, both in words and deeds, unlike India that changes color (like a chameleon every now and then) and by extension the Nepali citizens will remain ever obliged to China. A permanent tilt to China will be the first and last choice for the Nepalese population albeit under compulsion.

More importantly, India will have to forget its age-old Roti Beti ties with Nepal, mostly visible in the Tarai belt that has provided India with the all time prerogative to impose diktats on Nepal. The Roti-beti ties though remains strong which can’t be denied.
Will India dare construct walls along 1800 Km long border with Nepal? The ball is in India’s court now.
Intelligent brains opine that should there be a referendum, the majority will vote in favor of Mr. Sood’s proposition.
While Ambassador Sood and his New Delhi mandarins are mulling over the proposition to construct walls along Nepal border, one of the senior members of the Indian cabinet has said that the Indian Communist Party (Marxists) was importing Maoists’ fighters from Nepal and providing them with arms to terrorize the Indian population.
The Indian Railway Minister Mrs. Mamta Banerjee who is also the chief of the West Bengal based Trinamool Congress Party, November 4, 2009, said that CPI (M) and the Nepal Maoists were twin brothers.
To recall, the Indian Prime Minister Dr. Man Mohan Singh and Home Minister P. Chidambaram had clearly indicated that the Indian Maoists were receiving arms and ammunitions from their Nepali counterpart. However, they have failed so far in substantiating their claims.
“They were resorting to killings to terrorize people. Both of them are killers (Marxists and Maoists) and both have no place in the land of West Bengal," Mamta told a party rally in West Bengal.
Only recently one of the senior politburo members of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Maoists had openly accepted that the revolt carried out by outlawed Maoists party of India had full support of the Maoists in Nepal.
However, Mr. C.P. Gajurel, the Maoists’ politburo member in Nepal did not elaborate as to what sort of support was being extended to the Maoists of India by his party in Nepal.2009-11-05 09:17:28

The case of Gurkha Nepalese is quite similar to sikhs.Earlier Nepalese were used to be known as Faithful, brave and loyal That's why Everyone wants them as Guards. But in last 20-30 years ther engaged themselves in crimes.Infact once i heard don't employ a Nepali He will kill you and take everything. So whatever reputation their forefathers Earned The present Generation just ruined it.Same like the present generation of sikhs are ruining image of sikhism

Over here in malaysia..we have Banglas/vietnamese/sri lankans/Filipinas/indonesians/cambodians/nepalis/burmese/indians/pakistanis/iranians etc etc etc..and so far the Nepalis hold on to a reputation of honesty and loyalty..so they command the highest pay etc and work in banks etc...Bnaglas work in Factories...most times those in the news about Murder/robbery/wife stealing/ etc are the banglas/Pakistanis..they run away to bangladesh...or the Indonesians are crimine prone...since they cna cross abck to their side of the border so quickly...fast track criminals come from as as far a s argentina/Brazil/Colombia and Nigeria;;these come by plane and after a crime spree fly out..
