If you can read Punjabi i wish you to read the following article by Dr mann Singh Nirankari.. http://www.rozanaspokesman.com/image...pages/FRS6.JPG
Religion is not a Profession...but when "profession" is attached to it..then the rot begins...Example..An Akhand Paath is meant to purify the Soul..bring peace and serenity through reading and vichaar of Gurbani...BUT Now a days Akhand Paath is a "profesional..commercialisation process"...moment you mention you want an Akhand Path...someone will come up with FEES of paathis, kharcha for langgar, cooks, waiters, maids to wash bhanddeh, ragis for kirtan..., tents, chairs and tables,..and a thousand other things...NOT a word about Serenity..peace..Gurbaani Vichaar...
Sikhi is Not for SALE..but you can get it by GIVING YOUR HEAD...Totally voluntary.
Stay in chardeekalla veer..

Jarnail Singh Gyani | Well, most Amritdharis told me that if you don't take Amrit, then you are not a Sikh even if you are born in a Sikh family. They said that order to become a Sikh, you have to take amrit first if you want call yourself a Sikh because taking Amrit is the first step of being a Sikh.
But anyway, is there a verse in the Guru Granth Sahib Ji that gives a definition of who is a Sikh and whose a patit? |

But anyway, is there a verse in the Guru Granth Sahib Ji that gives a definition of who is a Sikh and whose a patit? | Respected J.A.A.T. Ji, Guru Ji's hukam is "Gur Parmesar eko jaan". So when we consider Guru equal to God, it clearly means that all the qualities of Akal Purakh are there in Dhan Dhan Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. And God/Guru does not differentiate between what you are and what you are not, as everything is in God's Hukam. Nothing happens out of His order. Guru de darbaar vich sab ik samaan han. Once you are in Guru's sharan, Guru Ji mends you the way it is needed to be. Bus mun noo Satguru di sharan ch’ lai avo. gur kY igRih syvku jo rhY ] gur kI AwigAw mn mih shY ] Awps kau kir kCu n jnwvY ] hir hir nwmu irdY sd iDAwvY ] mnu bycY siqgur kY pwis ] iqsu syvk ky kwrj rwis ] syvw krq hoie inhkwmI ] iqs kau hoq prwpiq suAwmI ] ApnI ikRpw ijsu Awip kryie ] nwnk so syvku gur kI miq lyie ]2] You only have to become the true servant of Guru Ji, leave the rest all upon Him. crn srin gur eyk pYfw jwie cl siq gur koit pYfw Awgy hoie lyq hY ] By first becoming Amritdhari is one way, but this is not the only way. When we say it is the only way it sounds similar to saying “Christ is the only way to God”. When it comes to following the rehat, rehat is all written in our Shabad Guru. Read it, contemplate it, FOLLOW the teachings in real life, you will find your way. The real meaning of becoming Amritdhari is "transplanting the existing head with the head of Guru". These days when this solemn rite of Amrit Chhakan is performed, the receivers are not able to rise to this level of Khalsa, as most of the providers themselves are not even close to that point. So they are unable to create that initiation point in the new comer’s mind. In my point of view one should raise himself /herself to that point so that one is able to offer due respect to Guru’s Seal. Must know the real meaning of Panj Kakkars and actually develop these qualities in the real life. Must know the actual meaning of the word “Amrit” and have a longing developed in one’s mind for it. There are lots of people in this world who are not even born in Sikh families and not even converted into Amritdhari Sikhs, but they have accepted Dhan Dhan Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as their Guru. By sincerely following the teachings of Guru Sahib they are progressing on their path with utmost grace and their appearance is not posing any hurdles in their Spiritual growth. Guru Kirpa Karay Please forgive me if i hurt anybody's feelings. |

and a SINGH's JOB is certianly much harder than a "SIKH'S"....
Simple comaprison..in a school..every student is a SIKH..came there to learn..while some get to be made "prefects" "head boy" "Class Monitor".etc etc..and these are also "students" but they have some more duties than all the others.. Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=543
Chhaking Khande Batte dee Pahul and becoming an Amrtidharee SINGH is no picnic in the PARK...just like soem "Prefects" get their position to their head..and start acting as if they are special anda bove all...some "Singhs" let this go to their head..and they start behaving holier than thou..i am better than you..you mona you..i am better than you..you drinker you...I am better than You..you meat/eggs eater .you..and so on.. Reference:: Sikh Philosophy Network http://www.sikhphilosophy.net/showthread.php?t=543
These types of "Singhs/Amrtidharees" are actually WORSE OFF than SIKHS..who are Humble nimrtaa full and all that. These SIKHS ate the Tortoise who will win the race while the Singh rabbit is sleeping in his glory !!
