Identify the Raag and Taal

This thread is intended to be both fun and educational in the area of Gurbani Kirtan and Tabla. It does not mean that you depend entirely on me to post the riddles or music pieces for identification with regards to Taal and Raag. Anyone can pose the questions.

To start with here is the first one:-

Shabad: Tu data jiyan sabh na ka

1. Please identify which Taal is being played.
2. What is the name of the Raag ?

Edited by me. No sooner had I logged off of Firefox and onto SPN again with the Safari browser a completely different link shows up with the raag -- which happened suspiciously quickly. And I don't believe in leprechauns. So you must be watching this thread really closely.

Or do you mean tala, rather than taal? If you mean tala, then is it tintal (tritaal)?

I am going to go for Raag Todi but I really can't understand what he is saying. It could be Raag Purvi. Will have to listen a few times to be certain.

Looking into links will only give you general knowledge. But identifying a music piece is a different ball-game.

The taal is NOT tintaal/teentaal.
Here's a clue on Taal: It is 12 beats.
