I have long observed that sikhs have a tradition to solemnize annual langar
prepararion for panj piyare whereby, if there is cultural or religious approval, I

am certain only khalsa ordained sikhs are to partake,although ordinary members of the faith have and are being allowed to.

Since we are short of khalsa brothers and sisters in some parts of sikh diaspora,I am wondering what is to become of the tradition, the origin of which I am not too sure either, wherein less than panj piyare or none at all could be available at any one time ie.any panthic alternatives like a simple ardas etc.
