Regarding Panj Pyare Choosen for Amrit Sanchar

Posted 25-02-2010 at 05:32 PM by gur_meet
A question was raised during discussion today regarding Whether the spiritual status of the Panj Pyares affect the Amrit during Sanchar.
It is understandable the Gursikhs chosen or voluntaring for this purpose may have different level of spiritual growth. But this factor is not seen to affect the result.

The spontaneous answer that came was that the Amrit Sanchar is a Jyote Guru direction . When ever five Khalsa Sikhs prepare Amrit reciting Banis and adminster it with that intention...

Why Sikhs Keep KESH ?

Posted 21-02-2010 at 06:49 PM by gur_meet
There are lots of questions regarding Kesh within the Sikh community and outside as well. The question asked I quite often asked is whether how the love of Gurbani and the Guru of a Keshadhari is different from the those without kesh.
The answers that kesh are natural ; the kesh are Guru ki Mohar , do not satisfy the questioning mind.

Complete

Posted 09-12-2009 at 08:13 PM by amrit.saggu
Behind the evergreens stands a mountain so proud,
I watch her beauty complemented by the clouds.
The suns rays complement the clouds as I watch,
the wind complement the evergreens by a notch.
The dew complements the tall blades of grass,
as they rustle and complement the winds at last,
I smile back as I complement what I see,
and realize that it too complements me.

I feel Sikh women have become weak today...

Posted 17-11-2009 at 12:16 PM by dilraj7447
Sat Sri AKal jee,

The heading seems to be quite disturbing at one sight. But the reality is even more disturbing than what is being written.

I have read different articles and people views but are we really trying to understand the fact why we as SIkhs are going down ( I am sure if the things which are going today then definitly we will become extinct very soon ) . But we need to dig down the reason for this outfall. The media to blame for portraying Sikhs in Bad Image....
