I feel I must write on this, having just watched Patiala House, but the Director Nikhil Advani seems to have a real problem with Sikhs. So far I have noted the following in his films:

1) Salam e Ishq - Incidental Sikh charachters are either buffoons, idiots or whipping boys.

2) Chandni Chowk To China - Main protaganist Sidhu (a Punjabi presumably Sikh). A weak feeble stupid coward, who comes good after letting go of what makes him up.

3) Patiala House - Sikhs potrayed very stereo typically as loud, crass and over bearing. In some cases, weaklings and buffoons. The Sikh women, portrayed as loose.

Anyone else noticed this common theme in his films?

You may say Sidhu was a Bhaiya but most of the people at work thought he was a Punjabi or a hybrid Sikh character.

LOL Just because Sidhu is jatt sikh caste and a popular cricketer face it does not mean Sikhs should copyright that name. The fact is there was not even an slight resemblance to anything related to Sikhism or even Punjabi.
