Sri Guru Granth Sahib is above these matters. It deals with more important things than talking about hair.
Yes, I mean these rehits do actually show us some history.

And yes, Adi Guru Granth Sahib is above this kinda stuff, I agree since its for bhagti.

The hair thing is more important for those loyal to the khalsa army, whcih would be Buddha Dal and the Akali Nihang fauj, these rules were for these ascetic warriors and not for everyday commonfolk.
