| Re: Adrift After reading this story, the thoughts that surfaced were: if we are here only for a short time and that we have to face death someday, what is the harm of giving up? But then, again, we humans are social animals influenced by society, even our religion is based on social structure. So if we are living our daily lives day by day, then what is the harm in getting fully involved with life's events. Enjoying every bit of our lives and facing our challenges are only a short drama. Why not live life to the fullest in every way possible? So Sikhism is a religion which gives us the needed balance we need. Sikhism does not practice extreme living conditions, a little bit of everything fills our lives without asking for more. |
